Description: Lovely old butter press from France in an unusally large size. Fluted edges, deeply carved floral pattern, and nice warm patina to the wood. Opens by a hinge on one end and a hook and eye on the other. Four braces hold the bottom to the sides and (see photo) there is some deterioration to the wood under one of the braces. This damage is not visible when the mold is together. Possible to repair with wood filler. Measures 9 3/4"x 5 1/4” x 2”.
