Description: Believed to be from the 1930's, these beautiful photos show works of Botanical line drawings. Wildflowers, marked in lower right corner of the work, 'WPA' . The Work Progress Administration’s effort to jump start the economy which included the visual arts as well as drama, music and writing. I believe this was in participation with the Federal Art Projects, FAP. It appears the artists were Wm. H. Lindemann and McNeill. McNeill estate purchase many years ago with his works in calligraphy. He was originally from North Dakota. In this set of five offered: Allium Tricoccum - Wild Leek Alisma Plantago Aquatica - Water-plantain Veronica Peregrina - Purslane Speedwell Cicuta Maculata - Poison Hemlock Allium Canadense - Meadow or Canada Garlic All measure approx. 7 by 5 inches.
