The dropouts are anodized black which provides a strong corrosion resistant finish. See pictures for details. (Note - there are slight variations in the black sheen with some pieces being slightly flatter in color than others. It’s unlikely to be noticeable once the dropouts are on your bike, but when you hold the brackets together in direct light you can see a slight difference.
