For your consideration is this absolutely stunningly beautiful looking LARGE tall vintage Chinese porcelain 10-1/8" high vase meticulously wrapped in hand-woven decorative bamboo featuring two adorable Panda bear images and a bamboo tree on one side of the vase and a Chinese word on the opposite side. The vase was part of my mother-in-law's collection and I am helping liquidate her estate. Although I am not certain of the exact age of this piece, from what I have been able to determined based upon my internet research I believe this piece dates back to the 1950's or perhaps very early 1960's. Please note, this vase is exceptionally taller than most other Chinese porcelain woven bamboo vases encountered. Most other vases are between 4.0" and 8.0" in height making this a great and scarce opportunity to acquire a larger and more beautiful vase. This Chinese porcelain vase has an absolutely incredible hand woven bamboo covering that will astonish you both visually and upon close examination. The artist's craftsmanship is amazingly detailed and exact; very impressive work indeed.The vase weighs approximately 1.0 pound, 7.0 ounces by itself and measures approximately 10-1/8" tall, 2-7/8" in diameter at the top and 3.0" diameter at the base. The woven bamboo images on the vase feature two Panda bears and a bamboo tree on one side and a Chines word on the other. The porcelain is in very good condition showing no signs of ever being damaged and/or repaired. The bamboo remains tightly woven around the porcelain vase totally encasing the piece with its natural beauty. The colors of the weave remain vibrant and crisp. The bottom of the vase is marked with the factory hallmark. Because the hallmark is printed in Chinese I do not know what it reads. The vase is exactly as it was when we removed it from my mother-in-law's house and packed safely into the storage box. The porcelain and bamboo weave remain in very good condition despite being several decades old. The bottom of the vase shows very minor shelf wear from having been gently moved about throughout the decades but there is no damage.
