Description: Wizard of Oz - 1939 movie edition book - signed by Margaret Hamilton - GOOD DJ. Margaret Hamilton was in a play in Los Angeles with Rex Harrison in the middle 1970s and she signed this book backstage after a matinee. I can't remember the play but I can remember being backstage standing just outside her dressing room and she seemed so small and frail - considering she had been a witch at one time in the movies. I heard Rex Harrison's voice and turned around and he was in a bathrobe with his door open talking to someone. I had a stunned conversation with Miss Hamilton and was sort of in a fog as I left the theatre. In case the inscription isn't easy to read, it says: For Henry Starlin (me) - with witchiest tho' kindest (?) wishes from the other WWW and her only friend - Margaret Hamilton The book, considering it is 83 years old, is in pretty good condition - I have upgraded the dust jacket at least three times so I would have a good one - no clipped corners and as pristine as possible. Please see the scans for the book's condition. If anyone is interested the book is approximately 7 x 10 x 2 inches. The binding is strong and there are no marked up pages or tears / rips. The scotch tape you see in the scans is there to hold the mylar dust jacket in place and does not touch the actual book pages.
