Description: This is a well framed engraving by William Hogarth 1697-1794 an English painter and engraver, titled “The Rake’sProgress” Plate 2. It’s possibly an original or a 18th century copy using the original plate, his wife Jane made copies after his death. The plate marks measure approximately 15 7/8” x 14”, in a 25 3/4”x 24” frame. Both engraving andframe are in very good condition.
