Description: W. Marples & Sons Wood Chisel Carving Gouge - Approx 1-9/16 in. From my research, this gouge with the "Hibernia" AND Shamrock dates this to some time after 1862 when the Shamrock was introduced but before 1875 when the "Hibernia" be came the trademark. Nice patina. Handle has a small chunk out of the end that is hard to see both in the pics and when viewing it. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority
