Description: United Mantel Clock Model 999 Art Deco Atmos Style Electrified Brass/Glass Clock The clock was made to look like a visible escapement and the verge is supposed to rock back and forth when plugged in to an outlet. It unfortunately does not do that on this one but I think someone who knows what they're doing could get it working again pretty easily just by cleaning it. The gears in the back are spinning then stop and it isn't transferring to the front gear mechanism. It is made in the U.S.A. sometime around the mid 1960's I believe since that was after the President of United Clock Corp Levy died and they were purchased by the United Metal Goods Mfg. Co. The bottom of the clock says, "Manufactured by United Metal Goods Mfg. Co. Inc. Bklyn N.Y. Licensed under Westinghouse Elec. & Mfg. Co. Pat No. 2.240.365, Model No. 999". The clock measures approx. 9 1/2"H x 8 1/4"W x 6.5"D. Will be carefully packed and shipped. See pictures for details. Thanks for looking!
