Description: A unique vintage women's hat, in black velvet with brown netting trim. This is a small fascinator style hat, meant to sit high on the head, with a brown netting veil to pull down. Please note this is shown on a fairly small mannequin head. The cap is fairly structured, and about 2 inches deep. No size tag or brand, other than milliner's union tag. Interior circumference is about 20 ½ inches. Fully lined in black fabric, with grosgrain ribbon on the edge. It also feels like there is a wire inside the circumference of the cap to help it keep its shape. The cap doesn't fit tightly to the head, and would need to be pinned into place. It is shallow and should fit everyone, maybe depending on hairstyle. Depending on how far forward you wear it, the mesh would cover the forehead and eyes. I believe this is from the mid 50s – it is in excellent condition, no tears or stains. A unique addition to a vintage outfit. Please see measurements below.
