Description: Offered here is a rare edition of THE HOLY BIBLE. It is THE FAITH BIBLE published by Thomas Nelson & Sons with a zippered "leatheroid" cover. It is in the original box (shows wear at edges and corners) which has the model number 1396 M printed on it. The box also notes that one of the bible's features is a mustard seed. (It is imbedded in the clear glass marble used as the handle of the zippered cover.) The book measures about 6.5" x 4.5" and is in very good condition. It appears that the very first page (either a front fly-leaf page or perhaps the presentation page) has been removed by a previous owner. This is a King James Version with a variety of helps: Self Pronouncing VersionFull Color MapsDaily Bible Reading ChartBible Questions and AnswersList of "Precious Memory Verses"Lists of the Ten Commandments, the Parabolic Sayings of Proverbs, the Miracles of Jesus, the Seven Different Names of the Bible, Coins, Measures, Time. The Bible was printed in the United States (as noted on the last page of the book of Revelation), but I could find no publishing or copyright date on it. I have tried to find when Nelson and Sons published it, but could not even find any other example of this "The Faith Bible" edition anywhere online. My hunch is that this is a very rare edition published only for a very short time and/or a limited edition. NOTE: If anyone knows more about the date of this Bible, I'd be happy to know more about it. This was found at a private sale and has been part of my collection of Bibles and Prayerbooks.
