DESCRIPTION- A charming French love token made by Le Médailler Franklin/The Franklin Mint, estimated circa 1977. On the front of this round medallion is a beautifully detailed image of a couple kissing under the mistletoe. On the back, it reads “L’Amour en Décembre” (love in December).- This love token is part of a limited edition charm collection—the “Twelve Months of Love.” Each love token in the collection represents a couple enjoying a different activity throughout the year, such as apple picking, reading a book, etc. - This pendant is crafted in solid 14k yellow gold and would make a lovely gift for yourself or a loved one.- This love token is from my personal collection release. MARKSAlong the bottom edge of the pendant:- Stamped: [14 KT. GOLD] [C] [FM] [77] - [14 KT. GOLD] = 14k gold (solid) - [C] = copyright symbol for the design (an upper case “C” in a circle) - [FM] = maker’s mark for The Franklin Mint (an upper case “F” with the letter “M” stretched in the middle in a small square) - [77] = the year minted (the number “77” in a small square) INSCRIPTION- n/a MEASUREMENTS- Length: Approx. 14.8 mm (not including the jump ring) to 16.9 mm (including the jump ring)- Width: Approx. 12.6 mm- Depth: Approx. 1.3 mm- Weight: Approx. 1.9 grams (solid)- Opening of the jump ring: Approx. 4.0 mm in length x 3.0 mm in width CONDITION - Overall, the pendant is in excellent vintage condition but bears signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Metal surfaces have marks and scratches that one would expect in a piece of this age. These ‘imperfections’ add character to the piece rather than take away from it- There is light wear to the metal surfaces; the image and text are still very crisp- The pendant has not been polished to preserve the patina- The jump ring is soldered- There is no visible evidence of a previous repair or restoration- All of the above are shown in the photos provided SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS- All props, including jewelry boxes and other jewelry pictured, are for styling purposes only.
