Description: Vintage Telegraph Line Switchboard Transfer Repeat Coil C-161 Army Signal Corps. The C-161 Switchboard Repeat Coil was used in switchboards type BD-71 and BD-72, and allowed the use of a "Phantom Circuit" on which a telegraph circuit could be employed without making it necessary to add to the existing wire pair. Generally used by the military for telegraph and telephone communication. Untested, looks fine with normal wear, came from a excellent source - see photos.
