Description: Vintage St Labre School Celluloid Boy Figure and Pepper Shaker 50s or 60s MemorabiliaDoll is 5 1/4 inches tall. Pants are included, but they are no longer cinched at the waist and there is no drawstring so he's swimming in his plastic trousers. Pepper shaker is about 2 inches by 1.25 inches. Orange, yellow and green flexible plastic. On the bottom it is stamped with St Labre Indian School, Ashland, Montana. Little figures, including this little celluloid boy, were given as gifts to doors of the St. Labre School in Montana. St. Labre is the patron saint of people experiencing homelessness. When the white people snatched up land in Montana they left the indigenous people without homes so the school was established. I got this info and more good stuff is available at the website: thecavenderdiary.com Over all wear. Dolls arms are fairly loose and his face is a little discolored in the crevices. Shaker has a few scuffs. Please see photos.
