Description: Well, well, what have we here? Up for bid is this wonderful pair of hand carved wooden salt and pepper shakers from the Quebec studio of folk artist Rosaire Audet (d. 1947). The set represents a Mama and Papa in traditional Quebecois costume. The original corks are still intact and stamped R. AUDET. Each piece stands about 3-1/4" tall. The pair comes to you in excellent vintage condition, with light surface wear commensurate with age and display, but no detectible damage. I hope this is just the piece that you've been looking for!
