Description: Vintage Primitive Belgian Antique Wooden Birthing Chair (Mid 1800's-Early 1900's). These are birthing chairs with four legs and red velvet cushions. Chairs are sold as a pair. Cushions do have a couple of stains but not bad. (See photo). One chair has a split on the under side due to age but does not interfere with the integrity of the chair. Women would grab onto side handles as they were giving birth. These chairs are not yard sale items but chairs we purchased in Spain in the early seventies. Good conversation pieces.
