VINTAGE PICK-AXE HARRINGTON PATENT 1911 CONTRACTOR & RAILROAD PICK CO UNUSUAL

Description: Interesting rare pick axe head. Needs a handle. Weight unpacked is 5lb 13oz. The pick axe is marked with a December 5th 1911 patent date. Patented by Frank Harrington. Manufactured by Contractor and Railroad Pick Co according the the patent records. It measures 22" end to end. The pics can be taken off but I have not tried to take off. Right below date it's marked 6-7 and I wonder if that has something to do with the pick sizes or could be a model number. Each side is slightly different in size. One side measures 6-5/8" and other side measures 8". There are markings on each side of the blade but hard to make out. Looks like the same 1911 patent date. Has has rust and pitting.
