Description: A striking 1940s Art Deco manual watch from Jaeger LeCoultre with an original pie-pan dial, gold hands and crown. The watch is powered by a high grade JLC caliber 450 movement. This movement was designed in-house by JLC and has a unique shock protection on the balance jewels and blue over coil Breguet hairspring. The movement is signed Jaeger - LeCoultre Swiss. There is some light discoloration on the plates, however, this does not detract from the movement functioning as it should. The case is 18k gold measuring 35 mm in diameter excluding the crown. Inside the back of the case it is stamped with the 18k hallmark and the makers mark "LC" (LeCoultre). The watch is on a 17mm Italian brown strap with a gold plated buckle. A stunning watch on the wrist - given it's very thin bezel, the watch appears oversized. The watch was recently serviced and is running strong and keeping great time. Sold as is.
