Description: Piece measures about 4 7/8" by 4 1/8". This was brought back by my father serving in India 1942-1944. Research shows it may have been painted on cloth and backed with paper. I cannot see the cloth, but if you look closely at the back you can see it was painted on printed paper. The typed description on the back says, PAINTING OF HINDU GODS IN HINDU TEMPLE AT PURI, INDIALord Jaganath (black face on other side)Bulvadra, Jaganath's brotherSuvadra, " sister(Pilgrims, poorer religious sect, purchase these as souvenirs while visiting Puri.) This item is pre-owned vintage and may show some wear commensurate with its age. We will point out any flaws, post pictures, and describe to the best of our ability so that you can examine the piece closely. Please read the description and look at all the pictures carefully to ensure that you won't be disappointed....and questions are always welcome. Thanks for visiting!
