Description: Fine, Hand Carved, Indian (South Asian) style, Statue of a Haloed Goddess, standing atop a large Lotus flower, playing a sitar. We believe that the material used is organic in origin- cream-colored with striations. It stands on a wood base and is mounted onto a deep red, silk board and is surrounded with a white silk mat. We date the carving to the 1960's-70's.1" Wide, Dark Brown Reverse wood moulding and silk matting is included complimentary.Statue measures 5 1/2' Tall, 1 1/2" Wide and approx. 3/4" Deep and is in Very Good Vintage condition.Outside measure of the frame is 7 1/4 X 11 1/2 and is in Very Good to Excellent Contemporary condition.Please carefully examine images for condition.
