Description: -Vintage clear green Depression Glass bowl.-Maker and pattern are unknown. The pattern somewhat resembles Ribbon by Hazel-Atlas--but it's not an exact match.-18 stylized, adjacent petal shapes are molded into the inside of the bowl. They aren't sharply defined. Because of the bowl's curves, the petals' soft edges create a kind of optic effect. -Inwardly cupped rim.-Footed.-Uranium glass--this piece fluoresces under a UV light.-Weight is 1 pound.-Measurements:3 inches tall.4.5 inches diameter at top opening.5.5 inches diameter at widest point.3 inches diameter at base.-Condition:Aside from normal, expected wear, this piece is in excellent used, vintage condition. No deep or long scratches, and no chips, cracks, etc.The base (where it would sit on a table or shelf) has rubbing and wear.The inside of the bowl, at the very bottom, has some rubbing and wear. I'm guessing, but perhaps this was used as a trinket bowl, or perhaps someone used a flower frog in it.I see a few things typical of old pressed glass--particularly Depression Glass: some *tiny* bubbles, some obvious seams, and two straw marks. These straw marks are thin threads of glass lying on the inside surface of the bowl--not scratches or cracks. All of these things are common manufacturing issues.-Very clean. Ready to use or display.
