I want to help you know exactly what you are bidding on.About this Item: A superb antique/vintage Art Nouveau glass shade made by Vianne. This hand-made art glass shade is truly magnificent with flowing lines, a flower shape and a ruffled edge. The quality is outstanding...the glass is thin and lightly frosted. This auction is for one (1) shade but I have three available. The first two I sell are in perfect, never used condition. The third one was used in my home and is also flawless with the exception of some scuffing around the fitter color (not visible when mounted). NOTE: I have one other very similar but not identical shade available on another auction This wonderful glass was imported into the United States from Southern France where artisans made them by hand. Vianne Glass was founded in 1928 in the Bordeaux region and was the last remaining glass-blowing factory in France. Sadly, Vianne shut down several years ago, which has resulted in these beautiful shades becoming rare and much sought-after. I purchased them over 25 years ago directly from the factory for a project that I never got around to and they have sat in a closet ever since.
