Description: Item up for sale is an impressive vintage wall clock from an unknown maker. This piece was found with a pendulum and no key so new owner will need to provide a key of their own. We tested this piece with our master key (NOT included) and the winding pegs turned as they should and clock ran for the 6 hours we observed it. Clock did chime though the timing was off so this piece will need adjustment or repair to function as intended in that regard. Numbers on the face of the clock are missing the 2 from the 12 designation and the 9 and these will need replacement. The minute hand shows some bending upwards at the base of the hand. Wood body shows some light seam separation on the front face panel and some spots of light wood cracking with some wood wear around edges and corners. Wood shows soiling and patina consistent with age and use with some dust in the nooks and crannies. Metal numbers show some paint and finish wear. Interior brass movement shows no maker's mark that we can find. Rear access panel has two labels from Rodney Councell who was a watch and clock maker in Maryland so it is possible this clock was made by him. One of the labels on the back is held on with tape. Pendulum shows some light spots of wood wear along the stem with brass covered front showing heavy tarnish and patina and could use a substantial polish. Wooden body of the clock shows no breaks with the body measuring 27-1/2" top to bottom by 12-3/4" wide by 4-1/4" in depth.
