This ADVENT woofer is in clean, excellent condition. The sturdy paper cone is flawless and so is the voice coil dustcap. Plus, the anodized steel basket has no dings and the magnet shielding cover looks great as well. And, the +/- terminals are marked for polarity and have never been soldered on the spades. Overall, this driver is very nicely preserved. More importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds perfect—strong output with clear, fast midrange and good low-end for the platform size. Plus, I tested its DC resistance at 4.0-4.1Ω, right in line with a nominal 4 ohm driver rating. Lastly, the basket measures 5⅛” across (6⅜” from corners), it stands 3” tall, and the mount holes are spaced 4 1/16” adjacent / 5¾” diagonal apart, c-t-c. As pictured and described, this capable ADVENT 5¼” mid-woofer is offered at a competitive price.
