Description: Beautiful and classic 1940s pale pink gabardine blazer / jacket. Labels state, "Tailored by Chappi" for "Hafter's San Diego" and "Forstmann 100% Virgin Wool." Jacket is lined is a soft crepe fabric which is either silk or rayon. There are two buttons that need to be reattached. Once they are put back the jacket will be complete with all its buttons. One of the aforementioned buttons is loose and will be placed inside the jacket front pocket. The other extra button is sewn into the interior side. The original extra button will finally be used! The shoulders are strong on this beauty. I could see Joan Crawford sporting this back in the era. There are some signs of use consistent with the age of the garment including spots and discoloration in the armpit region which are only visible from the inside (check pictures) but overall it is is great condition.
