Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This is a vintage Dexter carbon steel slicing knife made by Russell-Harrington Cutlery Inc. in Southbridge, Massachusetts. It has a walnut wood handle marked "40912 Dexter" on one side and "Oswald & Tacbe" on the other side. The carbon steel blade is marked "Dexter" and "Southbridge Massachusetts" on one side. Carbon steel knives can be sharpened to a razor's edge and this blade is very flexible, to the point where it could be modified into a wonderful pointed filet knife. It has 3 brass rivets and measures about 17-1/2" long overall with a 12-1/4" blade that is rounded at the tip. It has a nice patina and has not been overly sharpened. There are no nicks in the blade and the blade is solidly fixed in the handle. There are no splits in the wood handle. There are minor scratches, marks, and wear on the blade and handle, and it will need sharpened. This would make a wonderful brisket knife or any other use requiring a long, sharp, flexible blade.
