Vintage 1939 College Basketball Football Champions MEDAL AWARD PENDANT BYU YALE?

Description: ITEM: Vintage Very Rare 1939 Champions Basketball/Football Shaped Themed College University BYU or YALE? Pendant Award Medal Brass Tone Metal Historical Piece DESCRIPTION: Rare 1939 Champions Pendant Medal Award in the shape of both a Basketball and Football. My first thought was that a particular college, team or player won both championships that year in 1939, but I could not find that fact to validate the idea. Also, Champions is very vague in sports since there are so many different levels, awards, brackets that use that same title so still a lot of mystery on this piece. I got an email that the piece may possibly be fan made so thought I would include that here as a possibility as well. The metal appears to be brass. The item is marked on front "1939 Champions Y" the Y is likely for BYU Brigham Young University but it could also be Yale, other college, university or school. Seeing that it was found in Idaho leads more toward it being BYU. I tried to research this but not a lot of information out there that I can find that was helpful. Likely only members of the team and staff received one of these so not that many out there, especially considering its age. If you were a member of this team, relative or friend of one of the players this is a great rare find. Or if you collect sports memorabilia items this is a great addition. This would make a great display piece, collector, football or basketball fan, resell in your shop, wonderful gift, for everyday personal use or wear it of course! MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 3/4" inches diameter WEIGHT: 4.23 Grams Total CONDITION: Good pre-owned condition. Perhaps some light surface marks, wear, scratches/scuffs, and general wear and imperfections from age and prior use. Nice piece with NO significant flaws.
