Description: Listing for One knob and one escutcheon (Reading C-11800 C:1899 "the castella). Heavy cast iron knob with the matching escutcheon. Both exquisitely detailed and in excellent condition although it would be kind of hard to hurt these as they are cast as a solid chunk of cast iron. Originally both had a copper plating that has mostly worn off. Evidence of it is more notable on the escutcheon than the knob. The knob has been cleaned and given a clear coat to help protect it.
