The dress is made of a comfortable cotton blend material and features a classic black color. It has a full-length back zipper, high collar with 2 hook and eye closures, shoulder pads to accent the rounded top sleeve, and a "V" drop at the waist. The size S dress is designed for women and has a prim and proper housemaid style that easily fits into Victorian, Colonial, Pilgrim, Prairie, or Edwardian themes. The dress was handmade by a local theater costumer for local productions. Get ready to step back in time and portray a housekeeper, servant, or widow in mourning in this stunning Victorian/Edwardian dress.This was part of our costume rental department but was never rented. It does need to be cleaned as it was put directly into storage when it was given to us and does have a bit of makeup on the inside of the collar (see photo). This came to us after only one stage performance. No tag to indicate washing instructions.
