Description: Counterdance were a Bradford based electronic / ambient noise outfit formed in 1978 with Val Denham on vocals. All were clearly inspired by Throbbing Gristle and Val was friendly with the band, proving cover art for Funeral in Berlin and the concept of His Arm Was Her Leg. Several Psychic TV covers were by Val, including the Magick Defends Itself 12 inch single, and several live LPs of the 1980s. This LP was a 2014 reissue of early recordings put out by Vinyl on Demand. Most of the 500 copies appeared in an epic box set while 100 were free to do their own thing. Five of these were in 2018 turned into an art edition by Val, meaning she illustrated the sleeve with her distinctive magickally-inspired cartoon creations. Signed and dated front and back and with a numbered certificate card, this being 1 of 5 (1/5) while the original edition number was 332. Original inner sleeve with TransArt label applied. Excellent condition! This edition has never been sold but original Val art is much sought after, so I have put £77. Or make me an offer! International postage is a guess, I'll refund what isn't needed to send this tracked and insured to your country. Or ask me for a postage quote.
