Description: Description [Used] Martin / D-28 1976 model "A D-28 made in 1976, when America became more accessible!" The year 1976 marked the 200th anniversary of the founding of the United States. That was the year the magazine Popeye was launched in Japan, and young people began to open their eyes to American culture. At the time, the folk song boom in Japan was replaced by a new music boom, but the music of rock artists from the American West Coast was introduced, and the popularity of American guitars such as Martin, which they used, rose to an extent that it could be said to be even greater than the folk boom. For those who lived through the 70s in real time, we have a D-28 from that memorable era in stock. It features non-scalloped bracing, Grover Rotomatic pegs, decal logo, and a black pickguard (although it has been replaced). It's a shame that the case is not a blue case, but the reliable sound that makes you feel the horsepower is typical of the D-28 of that time, and combined with its appearance, it makes you feel nostalgic. For those of a later generation, the neck grip, which is different from the current model, and the thick resonance of the core may be fresh. There is a 21cm Martin crack repair mark (with patch) near the edge of the body. The pickguard was newly made at our affiliated repair shop, but the surface was painted to ensure that the atmosphere of the original product was not lost. There are dents, scratches, scuffs, and a glossy satin finish on the back of the neck, but considering the age, it can be said that the appearance is relatively clean. There is a slight weather check on the top. At our affiliated repair shop, the neck angle was corrected, refretted, the fingerboard was repaired, the saddle was replaced, and the nut was raised and the groove was repaired. The current condition of the neck is the same as when it was shipped from the manufacturer, and both the playability and sound are perfect. Although it is said to have a thick core, it does not sound too boomy, and the balance from high to low tones is good. This is a guitar that will last a lifetime. We recommend it.
