Tan cloth with dark brown title lettering stamped to front board and spine, soiling on the front as seen. Orange pictorial eps. Pictorial dust jacket with black title lettering printed on the spine in very good condition, minor chips at the flap fold edges with very old tape on the inside, front flap lists to The Clue of the Broken Blade, 5 pages at the back 3 of publisher's adds, The Hardy boy add list to The Mystery of the Flying Express; Black topstain, Frontis by J. Clemens Gretta. In 1940 the text on page 213 was altered to include the title of the next book.
