Description: Beatles ‘65 is an American counterpart to the UK Beatles For Sale. The US version here has I’ll Be Back which wasn’t part of Beatles For Sale. That number was lifted from the UK A Hard Day’s Night release. Nevertheless, this is how The Beatles were presented in the USA but Capitol upped the wattage on these releases & we have less songs per album but the trade off is we got a more ballsy sound from Capitol. Many of us still enjoy the Capitol albums, I know I do. Grading: The record has a few superficial scuffs, no deep scratches. A well preserved record retains a nice luster and plays excellent. There is a number 8 written on the color band perimeter as shown in pictures. A slight scuffing appears on side 2 label, other than those 2 minor things, labels are quite presentable. A nice original Rockaway pressing. R is stamped in the dead wax on each side. The jacket has a punch hole as was done for records in department store cut out bins. Small writing appears over RIAA in lower right corner on back of jacket. Some edge wear on the spine otherwise an attractive vintage cover with no seam splits. Thanks for looking.😎
