Sunfire Cinema Seven 200 19" Power Amplifier

Description: Sunfire Cinema Seven 200 19" Power Amplifier Part # 861-067-B For sale is one vintage Sunfire Cinema Seven 19" Power Amplifier which was removed from a working AV setup. The unit was personalized by Mr. Carver when I sent it in for a full overhaul / service in 2011 at Rita's Vintage Audio / Carver Audio Repair in Snohomish WA. The only reason I'm selling this personalized Sunfire is because I'm downsizing my entire AV setup. Outside of multiple visible exterior cosmetic scratches, this vintage amp is in good working condition both inside and out. It has been used in an actively cooled AV cabinet in a non-smoking home. The light for the front meter was replaced with a warm LED years ago. The warm LED lamp should never have to be replaced again but when using a LED vs. the short-lived original incandescent, the "dimmer switch" on the front underside for the light no longer dims. The LED lamp is always on with a warm constant glow. The unit is ready to ship within 2 business days of payment. It has been expertly packed and DOUBLE-BOXED in both original Sunfire shipping boxes!! The unit has been photographed thoroughly inside and out. This is a "B" stock (cosmetic) serial number which ends in 00004. I also have the hard-to-find "crystal shelf". The shelf, which I never used, has a nick/chip along one edge (as pictured) These shelves are fragile. I will not guarantee the shelf will arrive without further damage even though it is packed very well. Functional Highlights (from the user's manual) "The Standard Edition can produce 200 watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms, and 400 watts RMS into 4 ohms. The big breakthrough feature of the Cinema Seven is its uncanny tracking downconverter, which uses 12 Herculean MOSFETS in the Standard Edition. This allows the Cinema Seven to produce phenomenal power output, without the heat generated by conventional amplifier designs. The circuit boards are heavy glass epoxy, double sided, with a Faraday shield on the back side. All resistors in the signal path are 1% tolerance, metal-film. Some people asked about the signed personalization. This was something Mr. Carver did for items sent into Rita's Vintage Audio/Carver Audio Service at that time in 2011. While I did not see Mr. Carver sign the unit, I consider the personalization authentic because he refers to signing these item in a YouTube video. When I sent the unit in, I was specifically asked, "How would you like it signed?" Because eBay removes any URLs in listings, please search YouTube for "bob carver about carver service" and go to the 2:35 timemark in the video. There Mr. Carver refers to signing these units.
