Our Audio Cassettes Our audio cassettes are carefully evaluated before sale and we try to grade them as honestly as possible. Due to the amount of merchandise we sell on ebay, we adhere to a simple grading scale. For audio cassettes, it is as follows: Brand New – Cassette comes sealed in shrink wrap or some sort of factory bag or packaging. There may be minor damage to the shrink wrap, but the cassette is brand new and unopened. Like New – Item is near flawless and looks as though it was just unwrapped. There may be minute signs of use, but they will be barely noticeable. Cassette will always play perfectly. Very Good – Item has some visible flaw or flaws, but is still in very nice condition. There may be minor shelf wear to the case, or a bit of damage or sticker residue. The cassette may have minor scuffs and scratches, but only a few very light ones. Audio quality will be pleasing if not perfect. Good – Item has obvious signs of wear. Case may be scratched or cracked. There may be scuffs on the cassette or faded print or writing. But it will still look decent and be playable. Acceptable – Item may arrive in blank case. Cassette might play with a slight whine or have momentary distortion. Cassette may be scuffed or have faded print. If an item is listed as acceptable, we will disclose why it was deemed “acceptable” so you are aware of what the issue is. All our cassettes ship in a cardboard box with a tracking number. We check every cassette we sell and discard any cassette that isn’t listenable. Cassettes are fast forwarded and rewound several times, and the pressure pad checked. If the pressure pad is loose, we reglue it or replace it with a new one. We do our best to make sure you are happy with your purchase. We are not here to make a quick buck. We are here to be an awesome shop. We might be a little more expensive than those OTHER guys, but it’s worth it. And if you aren’t happy with your purchase, we are happy to refund you as quickly as possible. Please note: cassettes are usually decades old and we cannot guarantee how long they will work. We only guarantee that they are working when we ship them.
