Description: THE BEADS ARE 1800's!!! that meanz THIS IS AN ANTIQUE! OVER 100 Yrs Old. PADRE' STYLE. I Dont know when, where,or Strength of content. I did, buy them on the New Mexico reservation Flea Market, when i traded & did business with the Navajo up on the Mesa, by Shiprock New Mexico in the 1980's early. I lived on the res there near the Red Mesa. The Santa Domingo, & HOPI, Pueblos. Until i went to the Gulf War.My Mother & i owned an Antique shop in Santa Fe, in the early 80's,I handled Furniture, refinishing, restoring, jewelry, textiles, metals, Sandstones. She did the rest. Ive handled Antique Spanish beads in the past, the Spanish taught the Navajo whom in turn taught the other locals. Ive read that the Spanish taught this style of NAIL BEAD from the 1790's. Even tho, the Spanish were on U.S. Territory in the 1600's mining & making Silver jewelry. Its hard to tell when & who made items some times when they get this old.You might not like the Cross, its all i could afford. Through the years, I sold off my Crosses when i was broke, & they may not have looked this good. They had Turquoise, no Colors. this Mexican Cross, looks close to what may have been on these beads later after the 1911 Spanish/ American War. As Christianity started to take foothold on Reservation lands. I left the old packing string that was used to tie up mail & packages back then, on it.It has a lot of life left & its strong.Packing string was used in the Civil War era for jewelry on the reservations until about 1950. After the 2nd World War. Originally there would not of been a Cross on these beads. I think the colors look great. ITS A SHOW STOPPER !! In public, i wore it a few times. And it stopped traffic.IT would look insanely nice on a safe wall!.Mission Veajo style. The Cross can be taken off easy, untie the knot at the front.I liked the look of the Antique string in front. The 2 side Crosses, are STERLING ALSO, & they are earrings, they twist off. STONES in the Crosses are allll REAL. DOOO NOTT BUYY THISS IFF YUU DOO NOT WANT AN ANTIQUE OVER 100 YEARS OLD!!!!!!!~~~~~~~~ i had a buyer do that already! & almost bounced my Bank account! Took 2 months to get that Antique through the mail!.I have Cancer, we need heat, I need the money, im not taking returns!.Ifff you are AD/HD & have to clean off the patina, use a wool cloth or sock!. DONT CLEAN THIS.,.,. Then Return it!! Like the last nut. Disclaimer: buy it while you can, i have another Spanish Squash, from the 1600-1800's, i need to restore. If you wait on this tooo long, im tearing it apart for parts.I have a bag of more 1800-1900's necklaces that allll need restoration this winter, ill be busy getting it done.
