Description: Squier SQ CST-50 MIJ stratocaster with a non original loaded pickguard. Stamped date is 83 on the neck butt. SQ08755 stamped on the neck plate, Fender Japan. It has some dings & scratches on the body. Nice playing neck & dark board. Fender Japan tuners, big 70's headstock & 3 hole neck plate. There was a small ding on the finger board at the top edge of the 12th fret that was filled, stained & clear coated as shown. Non original loaded pickguard. Seymour Duncan neck pickup in the bridge position & Alnico pickups in the neck & middle. 500 K small pots. The bottom tone is wired to control the bridge pickup. The low E string runs close to the edge of the fingerboard at the higher frets (shown 3rd last pic). This is a common problem with 7.25 radius boards due to wider vintage string spacing of 2-7/32" at the bridge. Callaham & possibly other makers sell bridges that have vintage 2-7/32" mounting screw spacing with modern 2 1/16" string spacing that remedies the issue if needed. Also Graph tech makes saddles in 2 size widths in which the narrower width saddles remedy the problem. Great sounding PUPs & nice player. Weighs 7 lbs 2 oz. I have more pics.
