Description: Red milkweed such a great plant. It grows best in wet conditions and does not mind having it's roots completely submerged. It does not like to dry out at all. If you have a bog, this would be an excellent addition to that. Also does well in a pot with irrigation set on frequent. The flowers come in waves. As one completes flowering, it sends up a ladder to the next bloom. Some of our plants have produced up to 6 blooms from early July to the end of August. This ecotype is from New Jersey.
