Description: This Recordex audio cassette duplicator was working well several years ago, but then retired and stored away. Recently powered up and tested, it does not work properly so is presented as "for parts" or, I would suggest, possibly for repair. Here is what I found in testing: Plugged in and turned power ON. Motor turned on and VU meters and control buttons illuminated.Pressed Bias Test and Audio Level buttons; VU meters responded. With no cassettes loaded, pressed RECORD and all three cassette stations ran forward, normally. Pressed STOP. " " " " pressed REWIND and all three stations rewound, normally. Pressed STOP.Loaded three cassettes - Master and 2 blank cassettes - (to test duplication). Pressed RECORD. All three stations started running, ran for a few seconds then stopped. Was unable to achieve duplication.My guess is it needs the help of a good audio technician. Included with this sale is an Operation and Maintenance Manual which is pictured above, along with a sample of one of the pages which show the circuitry diagrams in the machine.
