This 14.9 inch / 38 cm tall doll was manufactured in Germany, circa 1840s-1870s. She has a paper mache shoulder head with painted facial features and curls.This is a well loved doll in ok condition for how old it is.She has a white leather body with carved wooden lower arms and legs and retains some of the original paper bands at the elbows and knees.Some of the seams are opening up, spec. in the lower body part (see pictures)The legs end in painted flat bottom shoes.The original dress is in overall in good condition with some stains and signs of age.The clothes do show some age discoloration as the doll is in such original condition and I didn’t want to disturb this originality nor risk damaging the textiles.
