RARE!!! REVELL [1956] USS NORTON SOUND

Description: This is the never to be reissued USS Norton Sound [AVM-1] from Revell [copyright 1956]. Taking the OPPOSITE approach of the US Navy, Revell modified the molds for the Norton Sound to create the seaplane tender USS Pine Island [and then the Currituck]; the Navy took the Currituck class seaplane tender Norton Sound and converted her to a missile test platform! This kit has been inventoried--it is complete! ONE ISSUE: the fuselage halves of the chopper have been cemented together. The instructions, decals and flags are shown. I am also including digitally edited reproductions of the decals in case you elect to build. The background colors are haze gray for the hull number, Tamiya hull red, and you can have YOUR CHOICE of border colors for the chopper [gloss sea blue WILL BE THE DEFAULT COLOR, or you can have chrome yellow or sky gray...].
