Rare OWL DRUG Co bottle w/ 2 wing bird on BIM blown glass bottle w/ paper label

Description: A 4 1/2 inch tall rectangular-shaped antique Owl Drug Co. bottle. Note that this bottle is embossed with the evenly centered 2 wing bird but it is the early hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top. It is a bottle that very few Owl Drug collectors own, and this bottle has the paper label on it. This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating well over 100 years old.Bottle has an embossed picture of an Owl perched on a druggist's mortar, stirring a pestle. Mortar is embossed "TODCo". TODCo. stands for "The Owl Drug Co." On the shoulder of the backside it is embossed in script, "The Owl Drug Co." In this instance, the first part of that embossing is very light, which is how everyone of them we've ever seen is, they all came out of this same mold.Condition: This bottle has been sprayed with a lacquer to preserve the paper label. There is a smooth chip missing from the very bottom of one corner, so smooth that isn't noticed unless it is pointed out. Otherwise bottle is good. Age: A hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. early 1900's. Shipping: FREE domestic shipping. You rarely see BIM Owl Drug Co bottles with this embossed '2 winged owl'. The '2 winged owl' is an evenly centered bird, displaying equal portions of both wings = 2 wings. The embossed 2 winged owls only appear on later machine made bottles. In this instance, this bottle is a hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM), and the owl that is embossed on it is about unique, not embossed on any other bottle that we know of. It was possibly a prototype or transitional bottle from when the drug company was switching from the older 1 wing birds to the newer 2 wing birds, but no one really knows for sure.
