Description: Up for sale is this Modernistic style judaica Oil jug, made to hold oil for a menorah Or an Hanukkah lamp, this item is big so it was not hang on a menorah It was made as an item on its own, the body of the jug is hammered in an art deco Design and on the front there is an engraved Hanukkah lamp in the old traditional style.The hinged lid is wonderfully engraved with the phrase "להדליק נר של חנוכה"Or "To light the candle of Hanukkah".Marked 800 crescent and crown for german silver, there is also a makers mark we cant readAnd something that looks like a flower shaped mark.It was made in the early 1900s', art nouveau Jugendstil style.
