HART near the sub seconds.The dial may have had its outer chapter swapped at some point, I cannot tell. Nice in hand lookThis watch was advertised by this Jeweler see below: In the May 20th, 1896 issue of the Hunterdon Republican Newspaper with an entry that reads "Samuel L. Hart, of Flemington NJ. one of the Watch Inspectors employed by the Lehigh Valley R.R., has recently had constructed by a well known watch company, a specially designed movement forthe use of railroad employees." Movement signed like the dial with a LV flag and the Jewelers name 8862 serial number - Grade 936 17 Jewels If you check the Hamilton ledger it shows that this watch was manufactured on Sept 24th 1895 and sold on May 13th 1896 to SL Hart Flemington, NJ Very Rare Lehigh Valley Hamilton, first that I've seen in all the years I've been collecting Watches. Case is killer condition, just a beautiful case with near new back and edge pattern. Just a really crisp case. tight bow, plastic crystal Watch Runs but not check for accuracy.Lever Set watch.
