Description: This auction is for a totally fabulous French antique boudoir lamp, with the shade and the base hand painted and both artist signed, C. Rochette. Rochette was a famous artist specializing in painting on porcelain. His works are scarce and of the highest quality. Listed artist in Christies Auction website as well. The socket and the cord have been rewired for our electric system, so ready to use and works great. This was done some time ago as the cord is translucent, but slightly yellowed. The painting features a beautiful dancing lady on the base with flowing hair. The shade has cherubs on one side and musical instruments on the other side on a backgrount of floating clouds. Stunning! The lamp measures about 14 1/2" in height and the base appears to be bronze. All the prisims appear to be intact and undamaged. The shade is about 5 3/4" across (this is an approximate, but close). I will not ship this item internationally due to the value. Each prism will be wrapped separately and each part of the lamp will also be boxed and wrapped separately. Thankfully, I do know how to ship valuable porcelain. Or, if the winning bidder prefers, the lamp can be picked up--but I am in Iowa and the weather is stunningly awful. PLEASE NOTE: We will not accept returns because an item "does not fit" or because the buyer "changed their mind". We donβt mark up our items by a great amount, so reasonable offers only please on our store items. We do have a layaway plan available for items or groups of items totaling $200 or more. Double boxed for shipping. Great low starting bid and being sold with NO RESERVE!
