Description: This listing is for a set of 2 Mid-Century Modern black amethyst candle stands. Measuring 2 1/4" tall with 4" disc bases, these Deco Era candle stands are simple and elegant! They appear black with silver trim; but in bright light are actually a deep purple. The candle cups are fluted around the outside and have a 3/8" wax drip catcher lip which is trimmed in silver leaf. There are also 3 silver leaf rings around the base of each piece; narrower pin stripes are on each side of the center wider stripe. Simple yet elegant! Although unmarked; these were probably made by the Hazel Atlas Company, circa 1930. These items are in very good to excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks, The silver leaf rings on the base are intact; although the leaf on the lips are worn in places. These items do not smell of smoke, mildew, must or mothballs.
