Description: Pair of modernist praying figurines Mary & Joseph faux bronze or faux bois wood effect resin? plaster ? For your consideration is this pair of praying male and female figurines. I'm assuming they are Joseph and Mary but don't know for sure. Done in a very nice, modern style, I could not find any other examples online. They are unmarked so I don't know who made them. They are a dark brown with a finish which almost looks like a polished hardwood or even like bronze but I believe they are made out of some sort of resin or perhaps plaster, though they feel harder than plaster. They are not metal. On the underside there is a hole drilled in each bottom which shows white material of some sort under the brown exterior surface. Regardless of what they are made of, they are in excellent condition with no issues to note. He is about 8.25” tall and she is about 5” tall. They will weigh about 1-2lbs packed safely. Thank you.
