Description: A circa 1896-1915 pair of Fraget N Plaque (silver plate over brass) Russian Shabbat candlesticks by Joseph Fraget silver plate company. They are charmingly bent and dented in places and much of the silver-plate has been worn away to reveal gorgeous oxidation and patina. If you want a pair of candlesticks with a rich history, these are perfect for you! The finish is wonderfully worn and chippy on both candlesticks. There are no noted cracks and they are still very sturdy and lovely pieces of Judaica with many years of usage left! Please see the photographs for examples of the wear. Each candlestick measures approximately 5" square at the base and is about 13" high. They each hold a single taper with a 3/4" base.Thank you for visiting my virtual shop!
