Description: Pair of porcelain bowls with underglaze red floral decoration. The "bleeding" of the copper based pigment is reminiscent of Yuan dynasty porcelain pieces. These bowls are, however, probably products of the early Ming dynasty. They possibly were made during the reign of the Emperor Hongwn (1368-1398 AD) or the Emperor Yongle (1402-1424 AD). These bowls are in good condition and show evidence of prolonged use. Note the genuine wear and patination on the under glazed foot ring. 1 Bowl 7 3/8" Wide 3 1/2" Tall1 Bowl 8" Wide 3 7/8" Tall
