Chapters on various members, founders, birds, etc. A rare first edition in a beautiful fine binding with green 3/4 leather over Moroccan boards, with matching EPs. Beautiful gilt accents and lettering. Stated with compliments of Philip Plant, CL Sibley, Frank Buck, and Charles Denley, presumed to be officers of the society at that time. The group was founded in 1936, with appeal from ornithologists, agricultural professionals, hunters, conservationists, and others. Color pseudo-frontis, with B&W photographic illustrations throughout. Cover with some rubbing, especially at corners and hinges. Possible leather discoloration at spine, as it transitions from green to brown. Internally fine, with a mark or two only. The book is exactly as pictured. Any questions, please ask.
