Artist Bio: Paul Blaine Henrie (February 4, 1932 – October 18, 1999) was a listed American painter and illustrator, establishing himself in 1960 in the artist community of Laguna Beach, California, and later moving to Carmel. Henrie is known for his watercolors and palette-knife oil paintings. Prior to 1962, his signature is "Paul Henrie" or "Blaine". After 1961, he signed them "Paul Blaine Henrie". Henrie has been represented in several prestigious galleries including the Grand Central Art Galleries in New York City. Celebrities who purchased his work included Vincent Price, Frank Sinatra, Princess Margaret, and John Wayne (for whom he created a serigraph titled "The Duke" in 1979).
